Get me outta here! 6th grade English and Reading. 6th Grade ELA Standards. January 9-13 Lesson Plans. January 6, 2017. We will take notes on text structure of nonfiction. Students will independently on Authors Purpose Practice. As a class students will practice identifying text structure of a variety of text. Students will work independently on Text Structure Practice. We will take notes over identifying topic and central idea of nonfiction text. Workshops that will be provided include. The Kinderpillars are running low on snacks! We will be sending home a note around the 100th day of school to bring snacks, but if anyone would like to donate a few snacks to our classroom, before then, the kiddos would greatly appreciate it! Thanks for all that you do! January 8, 2017.
Math Learning Goals for January 9-13. This week we will be learning about division. Students are expected to represent a quotient up to a four-digit whole number divided by a one-digit number. We will begin learning how to solve division problems using the strategy of Longhand Division. We will use the acronym D. Egularly to help remember the steps to Longhand Division.
We will study various text structures this week. The students will create foldables and put them in their composition books for future reference. Students will take a test over capitalization to show what they learned last week. We will also do some practice using colons, semicolons, hyphens, and dashes. This week we will review nonfiction text structures and take benchmark tests on Thursday and Friday. We are picking back up with chapt.
